Telwin Telmig 150/1 to eurotorch

Hi, instead of making a new thread ill post this here as it seems relevant.

I am going to convert my Telwin Telmig 150/1 to eurotorch, and im having a hard time trying to figure out what voltage and where to connect the gas solenoid.

I "think" i might have found a 12v source that could work but i would love some assistance.

Ok, i figured this out and replying here if someone with the same machine are looking for some answers later.

I went for the 230V Solenoid from ebay. Whats going on with cencoring the sellername??
And hooked it up with the brown and gray wire + grounded in the chassi. Works great now.

Glad you sorted it, hopefully it will be helpful to someone else doing the same modification.

If a name is censored on here then it's most likely because they've joined the forum in the past and done something that's against the rules such as pretend to be a satisfied customer just to advertise their items.

Got a question on the youtube video if i got it working, so adding a few more images here how i wired it up, as i linked to this thread.


I decided i put the solenoid like shown, and made sure i was able to use a large roll of wire without interference.

I loosened the motor and tensioner to route the wiring through. You will see what needs to go where from looking at the old torch.

I fiddled with the lineup so the feeder"nossle" would be correct and then marked and drilled holes for the connectorplate. Make sure you get this right or the wire might scrape and cause drag.

I had to modify the triangleshaped coverplate thats fastened with three screws. I used a dremel multi to carefully shave off material to accommodate the shaft and a groove to lock in a metaldisc.

Due to a larger fitting on the solenoid, i had to change the gasfitting aswell.

And all done, working much much better than before

PS. From before i had replaced the earthwire to a thicker and longer wire. As what came with the machine was a joke. Highly recomend doing that once you are "in there".

Nice and clear there Joarek. Not needed to do that myself but next time I see someone asking about fitting a euro tourch to replace there faulty tourch will point them in this direction : )
