General opinion is that they're not the best quality machines out there but they're certainly ok. Telwin are one of the biggest manufacturers in Europe and make machines for Sealey, Sureweld and others.
What sort of stuff will you be wanting to weld?
I have very little experience of welders, but I have got a telwin somthing or other and it has served me very well for the last year or so that i have had it. Only problems I have had was when I put some rusty wire in by mistake and the wire feed slipped a bit. That was entirly my fault though...
Same here, i have had SIP and Sealy migs, both were garbage, Later on i went for another new welder and the chap in the shop recomended Telwyn, but i had never heard of them so i wan't bothered about taking a risk. He then offered me a try out in the back of the shop, it was a cracker and still is.
Its the best welder i have ever had.......although i am thinking about buying a portamig next time around, they get souch a good name here on the forum and the lower ampage on portamig will make a big difference. Its only the lower ampage output that makes me condider portamig, if it did not have the lower amperage i would definately buy a Telwin set again.
I had a Telwin inverter stick/tig. It was great for several years, then quit. It was before I found this site and I couldn't get it fixed. I expect that the links here would have sorted it. Over all, a plus vote.
