Telwin Mastermig 141

Hi,
I am helping a pensioner friend to repair his welder. It is a Telwin Mastermig 141.
Can anyone help with a circuit for this model or a similar one in the same range might help. Is there a site where I can download the circuit?
If the gas solenoid goes open circuit, will that prevent the rest of the welder operating?
The main contactor will only work manually and if that is done, you can hear the normal hum from the transformer. If you link the torch switch wires there is nothing.
This is a pretty old set and nothing like the new Telwin inverter models.

I suspect Clarke machines may be similar, someone told me that Telwin make machines for Clarke, but don't take that as gospel.

I can't see the gas solenoid causing your problem, but I would guess there is a relay somewhere, operated by the trigger, that controls the gas solenoid and the transformer contactor.

There is a small relay on the printed circuit board. You could well be right about that. I will check it out. I will also check out the links you mentioned. Cheers,

sealey used to be rebadged telwin,not sure if the manual is still available ,seem to remember the link going missing

Sureweld monomig 141 might be the same too, they're made by Telwin.

Panic over !! My friend has just phoned to say that he took the pcb out, cleaned the contacts for the connectors and hey presto it works !! Thanks for advice anyway and if anyone finds the circuit for it please let me know.
