Oh yes this is imperative to oneself....I've got two friends coming round tomorrow to lift it up on one side while I have a butchers underneath,if the ground is undisturbed beneath then this will prove if I'm losing me marbles?

I can understand GP's thoughts.. a place I was keen to purchase had a great 20 x 15 cedar wood green house and a decent 12 x 24 shed shown on the pictures and was mentioned in the sales literature when we arrived to view it was not there .
I discovered found they had also changed all power points face plates to cheepies white plastic unswitched ones .
They had also removed the power shower & removed all the carpets despite saying they would be included in sale .
Needless to say we called it off ..... I dont want to help people like that.

When I bought my place five years ago it was supposed to come with a dish washer. Specifically mentioned in the advertising bumph, on the fixtures list when signing and there to view when I looked round the place. Come moving in day no sign of a dishwasher just a large void under the worktop. I took it up with the estate agents and my solicitor along with a few other points but got no-where. Once they've got your money they don't want to know and it's going to cost you more than it's worth to persue it.
The previous owner also left a garage full of old paint tins, rusty wheel barrow, solid bags of cement etc and an old bed settee upturned in the snow on the rear lawn. Fortunately I was able to get square things up somewaht as he still owned the place next door which he had for sale but vacant. I simply transferred all his crap onto the lawn of the house he was still trying to sell.

it may not be the owners doing; someone else may have had their eye on it thinking no one will say owt?
also are sheds garden furniture? as in not part of the sale?
When I bought my place it had been empty for a year as the seller had emigrated to the Philipines with a mail-order bride (he got that wrong: she took all his money and he came back skint, lived off mates for a year then popped his clogs)... anyway he'd had a 'mate looking after it' until it sold. When I moved in virtually every light fitting, switch and socket was suspiciously loose. A couple that were left, along with the interior door handles were brass, so I think someone had had them away - along with the lounge wall lamps and a petrol mower that was in the garage when I viewed the place.
The only time I ever went into the house next door, I happened to notice it has brass electrical fittings...
