TEC-ARC 206i Foot Pedal

Hi,

I'm looking to adapt a cheapy foot pedal I have for this TIG welder, as the pedals from various official suppliers are >£200.

Does anyone have any information on pinouts / resistance values for the 'correct' pedal? With this information I can adapt the pedal I have.

Failing this, I'll have to buy an official one, get the info I need and then sell it again - I'm a hobbyist and can't justify a £200 pedal!

206i has a 5K potentionmeter

Plug wise its 1 & 2 that are the trigger
3, 4 & 5 are the potentiometer

*Addendum: another quick numpty question - is that all on the left'hand socket? Ie the right hand side socket doesn't need to be used?

Pin 1 and 2 are trigger only on left hand socket (the one the torch contactor usually plugs into)

Also it needs to be a linear potentiometer.

Info I've dug out so far includes:

Pin 1+2 for the left hand socket = trigger
Pin 3/4/5 for the right hand socket = amp adjust.

So you do need two 5-pin XLR male plugs - I confirmed this as the semi official pedals are listed as having two 5 pin plugs, so a connection is needed to each....

Sounds right, it looks an awful lot like a wsme200ac/dc and they use 2 plugs too...
