I guess they give you a more livable space inside rather than just a sleeping pod and an outside cooking area

Yep they do indeed, no more putting me jeans on laying down
We always used a Gazebo over the cooking area for breakfast, went out for dinner

I was sent this book from the US. Some great teardrops and others, a few Airstreams and even a look at the UK scene. With Reliants towing cut up Reliants as trailers.
Not to mention the glorious cars over there.

If anyone is thinking of building a Teardrop do me a favour and get the shape right !!!
I see all sorts of shaped ones around, square ones with rounded corners and roofs at juanty angles and i think WTF !!! err a teardrop trailer should be teardrop shaped

I would argue that the rear galley is as an important feature of the teardrop trailer as the shape. I have seen so many 'Teardrop Trailers' which other than the shape are just a mattress on wheels. The rear hatch set up I think is as defining as anything and illustrates the intended use as in the original builds perfectly.
