Tarpaulin eyelets

I need to make a couple of traps to cover my stillages of kindling, and I’ve got a couple of lorry side curtain pieces to use this.

Also I’ve got some tarpaulin eyelets from either Lidl or Aldi, which are ****e and can’t take a double thickness of the material.

So I’m looking for suggestions for a kit that will punch out the holes, and allow me to insert eyelets that will last well, these work zone ones I can bend with finger pressure!

Prym make good ones.

I use their eyelets and press studs every so often, no complaints.

Make sure they are alloy or brass as I found some of the cheap ones are steel with brass effect plating and quickly rusted

These things are definitely brass, but ultra thin.

What thickness of material can these Prym ones handle?

by the time you have finished getting what you want

why dont you just make a pallet wood store and just cover over it

it will last longer and you will have better access to it as well

They list 'tarpaulins, tents, marine and military' as part of their market sectors. The Prym ones seem targeted more to sewing/crafting/lighter duty applications.

Because I have some tarpaulin, not pallets

Lorry side curtains are generally a lot thicker than what I class as tarpaulin so even the better kits might struggle with double thickness lorry curtains.

Hipkiss are good eylets for thick material. Full brass.
