Tap washers

The Franke mixer tap in the Kitchen is acting up, the cold side needs a washer as its dripping, and the hot side will only turn 1/4 turn and i cannot get much out of it. Its an older tap, and i cannot see a model number on it. So i need to head to the plumbers suppliers tomorrow and get some new washers i suppose.

But i do not remember if all tap washers are the same or if different manufacturers have different washers ?

depends if there rubber or ceramic inserts rubber washers come in 2 sizes small sink ones and larger bath tap ones. ceramic 3 or 4 different types

Its a fairly old tap so am i right in thinking they would be rubber ?

Taps seem a nightmare had a ceramic that went TU could I get a cassette have a kitchen tap that leaks round the swivel can I find 2 x O rings that fit, new shower insert 5 weeks now drips, more hassle still only £100 Classic Aqua-valve the original lasted 30 years hope their warranty is as good as their order delivery was

frankie have them all the aunt gets them regular from Frankie and O rings too bit expensive £15 for a set, u can measure them and get them cheaper

Just want to get it done and dusted, in fairness the tap has been there years and never gave a minutes trouble until now. I seen cheap Italian taps used in Bathrooms and they were rubbish, nothing but trouble.

Had trouble with our 1/4 turn franke ceramic ,think the ceramic valve was about £35 ,cleaned the old one(hard water area)went ok for a while,gave up on it in the end gone back to the old type
