tap revivers - what am i doing wrong ?

got a mixer tap and its all boxed in , i really cant be bothered pulling it all out right now

i got some screwfix tap revivers and the washer didnt extend down enough to seal , they come with an extender which is too long , so i made a smaller spacer out of washers , it works fine for a few months then the handle feels nothy and it starts to drip , fit another set and same

am i doing anything wrong ...seat in the tap looks ok , is there a better quality set i should try ?

Some are crap … might want a replacement seat as well … plastic insert that pushes into the hole and raises seat to the right height again

Used to come in the better kits not done any for years though

are these something you fit often ? any brands better than others ...most seem to be srewfix ones but dearer if at another store

Use a seat cutter first

Some taps just don't like the basic cartridges, I used to have a box with about 50 types in, only really used 3-4 but the odd ones came in handy.
The idea was to restock it regularly
