Tap and Die set

As the thread seems to have moved across to cost of said Die/tap. If you ever require a Schrader Valve Tap make sure you are sat down, before you ask the cost.

Hi Brightspark,

Sorry to reurect such an old thread but has the Schrader tool got the tap for the internal thread where the valve core is inserted (metric 5.30 mm OD x 0.706mm pitch, or imperial 0.209 in OD x 36tpi) and if so would you sell it to me?
I need to make a dozen or so adapters in brass using Schrader fittings. I did look at stripping the rubber off some tyre valves but I could ideally do without the external thread.

Update! I've found the 'Schrader tool' on the bay of e for a couple of quid and it's not a suitable thing for tapping.

hi just found mine as u say not suitable only just for re threading try tracy tools for a carbon steel tap they can source most obscure sizes and threads cheap
