Twice today I drove past guys working in the middle of the road using an angle grinder to cutmetal ( one was a long post and the other was a piece of Armco.) These were workmen and not metal thieves btw.
On both occasions they showered the passing cars with sparks. Apart from the distraction , these cars would have had the metal grindings (for want of a better word) over them .
I would of thought they should have some method of containing sparks . Do they need hot works permits to do this sort of work ?
