T-joint thick metal (silly) question

if i welded a 6mm t joint at either side with no chamfer prep just butted without a gap mean essentially its 2 3mm welds? Its a supermig 150 so i am worried (overthinking probably) that its not got enough beans to tackle the job. I know that i would need the settings full blast etc.
Its that just would like to clear this up in my head cause i have been back and forward with committing to it or getting someone else to do the job. I also have been to lazy to do a test as i have no heavy hammer and it takes a lifetime to break even the crapest weld lol

Hmmmm...so your life will be depending on it......
No reason you couldn't do it with that machine as long as your welding is up to scratch. If it's just blobs then forget it.

Oh and naa i have ran enough beads, bought and wasted enough good metal to practice on, along with build a frame for the buggy. That im confident enough. im well past blobs haha just not quite pro.... Yet

had it laser cut, and we have a newborn in the house atm so grinder is basically off limits. It would'nt be impossible but i suppose it falls down to laziness if i am totally honest. If i really HAD to then i would untack, prep and tack it back together but thankfully i don't think its necessary.

Dont creep around being quiet or your kid will never sleep with any noise. Better to get them used to noise so your life can go on whilst they sleep.

haha youre prob right thats a good one, though hes no mine its my nephew and my sister is likley too tear my head off if i dish out parenting tips . Given a week or two for her to calm down and maybe i will get the courage up to "suggest"

Lazyness my friend. I know its shocking and i know posting such i would be due a slaging from ppl Though if there was a chance i didnt have to file down my tacks take it apart etc then happy days. I was over thinking and over reading things and this site is valuable to me for clearing things up. theres always someone here willing too help. LOVE ITT!!!!
