Companies such as Binzel sell special water which is already mixed especially for coolant.
We also sell coolant which is specifically for our water-cooled machines.
Its pre-mixed with chemicals to stop algae growing and to stop it freezing and also has some sort of lubricant to oil the pump as its bein used.
The advice from Lorch and also from Fronius when I was an employee there, was to NEVER use normal water and anti-freeze. I dont' know what or why, but anti-freeze is bad for welding coolers, I think it makes the water more conductive and then you have some sort of reaction/electrolosis between the water and the copper pipes and it can fur up the insides with green crap.
