SWP DIGI MIG 200 lcd stealth

Right well guys in a very short space of time I have purchased two welders an esab buddy arc 180 and the above mentioned swp digi mig, the esab buddy arc I bought as I thought I wouldn't really have need for a mig welder as I was over confident in my skill at welding thin sheet, I soon realised I needed a mig as well. I got a good deal on both welder from the Inverness his which I highly recommend. But anyway before I get to give it a blast I'm waiting on a 0.6 roller ariving before I get a proper go at it, but I may try the arc function out this week one evening after I get to my garage to pinch the leads from the esab. Main question is I have the torch for it and I'm wondering weather or not I will have to get a new liner for it or not to run 0.6 wire, the current liner is red.

It is important to change both drive roller AND the torch tip to match the wire size
from the weldequip pages blue liner does 0.6 to 0.9 and red liner 1.0 to 1.2
Guessing you have an MB25 torch
on an MB15 I run either .6 or .8 without changing liner
on the MB25 I use .8 or 1mm again without changing liner

So I am probably using the MB25 wrongly but it hasn't ever been a problem

Yes it's the mb25 as it's the 250 amp torch, so that means to run 0.6 wire in going to have to change the tip and liner as well as roller ounce it comes, thanks very much.

just a thought

I have both an MB15 and an MB25 and change the torch when I reduce the wire size to .6 much easier than swapping the liner back and forth

the MB15 is 3m and the MB25 is 4m to give me other options

I had the same thought and just went and bought a 150 amp torch, didn't cost to much and is much easier.

Nope has been dead reliable. Lovely welds and very easy and intuitive controls. I do have to do a good review for it at some point its not had as much use as i would of liked to have run it through so far just because life gets in the way of even the best layed plans.
