swivell seat base anyone ???

hiya lads , is there anyone out there who has made or knows how to construct a swivell seat base ? im currently making my transit into a camper but the swivell seat bases for sale go for stupid money !! if anyone can help or point me out to a thread would be much appreciated , regards gaz

They go for "stupid" money as they will have spent gods knows how much to have it passed for use

yeah i realise there is a safety aspect to it but there must be someone on the forum who has attempted this , the bases for sale look quite flimsy for the price they are asking . regards gaz

Exactly.
I paid just under £70 for one to fit my Peugeot and well worth the cost. OK you could DIY one but in the event of an accident if it failed and passenger hurt then expect to be sued as you are the "manufacturer".
Why not consider fitting seats with swivel already on the base out of something like a Renault Espace, Citroen Synergie, Fiat Ulysse, Peugeot 806 etc ?

Regardless of the material they have been made from.
