60 to 80 quid at the autojumbles more on ebay cheap sh ,.,.t copys have pulled the price down on quality british gear

This thread has been useful to me as I have just bought a Bridgeport and it came with an old 8"machine vice with J&S on it so I guess it's Jones & Shipman then? It's old but I measured it with a DTI and is spot on. Is yours like this one?

Just been given a few vices ( to add to ones I already have )
Here's a J&S swivel vice, moves in 3 planes. It was rusted solid but a week in a bucket of diesel sorted it. Not seen one like this before, I presume its mainly for bench rather than machine

I also got a fixed vice, here it is on my Warco mill, I think it's a little bit big for it but better than a kick in the pants.
