Swap? Mig welding knowledge for a weekend break?

Hi all, just floating this one out there...

I have a Gîte in the middle of France: small Hamlet, quiet location with rolling landscape views. If anyone on here is an experiences mig welder, or preferrably someone who trains/instructs other on how to mig weld, I would be interested in swapping your knowledge for the use of my Gîte...

On location here in the Auvergne.

Seriously, if someone is genuinely interested I'd be happy to make their stay memorable. It could be a discount on a longer stay or just a long weekend.

I should have a Kemppi 200 in a couple of weeks. I'm driving back to the UK and hope to buy one from 'United Welding Supplies' if all goes well, along with all the sundries...

So no, no need to bring your own as hand luggage on easyjet.

Hi Gapster, nice area, if getting a bit chilly now.
We are a over by Rochefort/Saintes, so quite a trek. Have you thought of a GYS welder? Forumite Norlander went to one of their training courses and they gave him a very good price on a tig. Think the course might have been free or nominal cost and their kit is good, with decent aprés vente.

Ha, ha, ha. We had 23c yesterday, quite incredible considering we are at 1130m altitude

Thanks for the tip, but I'm keen to buy a mig as I'm a complete beginner and from what I can gather mig is an easier lead-in to welding.

I'm now juggling between a Kemppi 200 and an R-tech mig 180. Better get my **** together quickly as I need to order it and pick it up from ghe UK next week whilst I'm over.

Gapster, GYS also make good Migs, Norlander just happened to be there for a bit of Tigging. Read your other thread and Mig is what you need for L-R renovation.

You must have to duck a bit at that elevation, what with all those planes being up there
