Hi All, first post!
Getting near to completion of my swish new driveway gates, my Clarke MIG151TE has done well so far, but tonight a problem arose- the wire feed started to jam up repeatedly -inside the tip. It was difficult get the shroud off, unscrewed OK but would not pull off, so had to writhe it off
when i managed to remove it the swan neck was holed i.e. it had melted around one of the gas holes. I have noticed lately that the wire often burns back into the tip and jams, despite me winding up the feed to try and stop it doing so. I assume I am in the market for new liners -would liner trouble cause the swan neck to hole/melt?
Machine is low mileage-about 3yrs from new, has made one trailer, myriad small jobs, and a decent pair of gates(nearly).Decent, non rusty wire, and Im on my third disposable CO2 bottle,so its not had massive use.Should the liners be clapped by now? Advice appreciated, Cheers, Bob.
