Just seen the start of the eclipse here in the North east of England, unfortunately the clouds keep drifting across, so not sure we'll see the full extent.

Completely overcast here not a chance of seeing anything. There will be videos in a bit so I will watch it later

Perfect sunny day here. Dug out my welding mask and had a full, clear, view through it.

Same here, just a thin haze of high cloud, if anything it defined the eclipse more.
Funny though, supposed to be 85% eclipse here in Somerset and at the peak it looked less of an eclipse than either side of the peak. Optical illusion I suppose.

My daughter Snap Chatted me with her pic of the eclipse, a picture of the sky on which she had painted a big yellow crescent!

When it was almost passed the sky turned blue but my auto lense didnt darken so I coulodnt get a picture

We didn't notice the cold so much in 1999 as it was on August 11th
