I make a few bits and pieces like engine stands & racks & brackets for scooters, seem to be making more & more all the time and I fancied putting some kind of logo on them.

Sheer and utter vanity I know but there you go.

How / where would I go about getting some kind of punch made with the logo on to stamp into / onto the metal?

Alternatively something that would stamp a thin bit of tin which I could then rivet on.

Why not get some stainless plates laser etched and rivet them on, looks very professional,
One company I worked for a long time ago made engine stands and manipulators etc, the logo was cnc milled into the steel frame and filled with paint.

Do you mean all the milling was wasted?

I'd kind of like to get one tool I can use over and over rather than have to keep getting bits cut, but I agree it would look bob on.

Would you know what the thinnest stainless I could get would be?

No, the paint fill was a contrasting colour, like this
16 to 20swg is about right for labels, for very thin ones you can stick them on with double sided tape, talk to a local laser cutter, you'll probably find they are already doing it for someone else.

I'll see if I can source a local laser cutter see what they can do (and for how much)
