Suggestions based on experience for three axis dro

I'd like to buy a dro suitable for a milling machine, and maybe move it on around between the mills I have (with scales permanently left on each one). I might even want to use it on the lathe. Anyone have a recommendation? Do I buy from a uk supplier, who is selling Chinese, or buy direct from the Chinese website (and risk the joke of trying to get a repair or replacement under warranty).

I've got a cheapie from AliExpress. It's fine - well made, does what it should and was very well priced.

The scales cost so much more in money and time than the display that I would just buy one setup for each machine.
I did make a switchover box for somebody once so he could share one display between 2 machines but that only really worked because both machines were right next to each other and I could mount the readout on a wall arm between them and then turn it towards whichever he was using.

Hmmm, well they aren't that cheap - choice between one or four of them, save £150. That's three scales.
One thing really puts me off this Chinese stuff - they can't, or don't, want to make clear in their adverts what you're buying..Really ****** me off.

I fancy the magnetic encoder system rather than optical.
I will let you know once I have one.....

I bought my dro from Banggood, after watching quite a few YT videos. It has the brand name Sino on the front of the display, and I think it’s the same as the one that Stefan Gotteswinter had on his mill, so I reckoned that it would be ok for me! But as @minimutly says, the adverts aren’t very clear so I ended up with two of the scales being too long. Surprisingly it’s not that difficult to cut them down to size - a bit of careful hacksawing followed by a minute with the dremel and a diamond disc to cut the glass and it was done. That was over two years ago, and no problems. And definitely the best upgrade for a mill, makes life very easy.

I bought this three axis DRO from bangood a couple of years ago. Cost me around £80 but it's even cheaper now - I also bought the linear scales from them at $32 to $40 each.
