Did something very silly yesterday..had to modify my van roof rack which meant taking it off and burning a good hours worth of mig wire welding 40mm box section...Not so silly i hear you say,but i done it with a vest on as it was so humid in the shop and allthough ime tanned being on a roof each day it still left me with red red burnt arms and shoulders wont do that again ile tell thee as even now my arms are glowing 24 hours later.

I always say that but then I end up doing "just-a-bit-of-job" (TM) in only a Tshirt that then becomes a full on job and I end up with glowing arms

Right ive had my orders from my pretty little slave to keep covered all this week now as i think ive been U,vd out for this week. Having my Nice little friend Cancer come visit me last xmas i should be trying to reduce any future risks i think...Incindently had my 3 monthly tests the other week and bloods still completly normal,next test is jan 2017 then iff all clear again i might be on 12 monthly jobbies

As for the burn.........I had done about 40 years without getting burned then I decided to video some welding and got burned and arc eye..........concentrating on the filming and just forgot

Many, many years ago (mid 70's) mate was brazing the rear shock towers on his Humber Sceptre with a carbon arc torch powered by an arc welder. No room in the boot to use a proper headshield so he wore gas welding goggles. You can imagine what he looked like after - bright red face with white area around eyes

good old fashioned cure for sunburn is plain yogurt to take the sting out of it
