good question i'm guessing its more in its dissolved form like galv isn't poisonous till its burnt off. Chromium is what is added to steel to make it stainless and i've never been warned to be careful grinding it, but I know you shouldn't use a stainless anode when doing electrolysis rust removal because the chrome is released into the sludge.
