beasdblasting wont take chrome off .it wont even damage machined surfaces . its fine glass balls meant for cleaning and peen the surface .its probably a trip to the chrome shop to remove it without damage
Why do you want to strip the chrome?
If it's in good shape and you just want to get rid of the high polish then perhaps some bead blasting might work?
I fear chemical or electrolytic stripping might be necessary to preserve the underlying aluminium.
Trip to the nearest chromers I would expect. Is it good chrome if starting to peel off you can "help" it along with a Stanley blade to split it off from the alloy sometimes.
Its a bit crumby in the middle, i might have a go at it.
