Stringer practice 7018s

Had a bit of stringer practice yesterday,Im no stick welder but id say its my favourite process of all.
So yesterday i feel like i turned a corner and i'm starting to get some consistency playing with rod angles, stacking etc.
I still need to work out what i'm doing at the end of the beads Im melting the end of plate away as you see in the image.
I'm a lefty so starting from right to left,

At the end of the run step your rod back and bury your rod in the puddle to cool things down.

As above,but also reducing undercut at the end of the fillet.

I sometimes run a weld 13mm in from the end of the joint/fillet then fully clean the weld, just so there's no undercut or weld creator at the end.

The other answer is run off plates....
