Hello all!
I'm sorry if I'm asking an old question here, but how do I stop car fires in box section, sills and pillars when welding cars?
I'm welding my Fiat Panda currently, I've done a bit of bench welding as summer work, but not so much experience on car welding and I'm finding it a pain in the ****, it's got a lot of welding to do on it and after you put a half inch run down the damn thing catches fire. When I was doing my friends mini I didn't have this problem!
So far I can get to the other side of the plate I'm welding to blow the flame out just after it lights, though I won't have this luxury when I get round to any of the other jobs.
The welds are joing down lovely and smooth, though I dont want to fry my car from the inside out
Any ideas?
Many thanks,
Jon
