Hi.
Unless I apply lots of coats, it seems like my repair areas (e.g. dolphin glaze) show up in the basecoat a lot, even if there's primer over it. Usually don't see it until I hit it with the base coat. enough applications of base coat seem to hide it though.
For example, I have used a little body filler, and then glaze, and applied 2k primer over the whole panel, and sanded to 800 grit, and it all looks like a nice primed panel. I apply the basecoat, and then the repaired area shows up like a sore thumb and I have to cover with a lot of base coat to hide it.
Is this normal? is it just that I haven't sanded properly and so some coarse lines are showing through ?
