Hello chaps, ive had a search around on the forum but couldnt find the anwers i was looking for so i decided to join up.
Im currently restoring my m3 race car and im after some compatability advice on paints, mainly stone chip at this stage.
I took the underside of the car to bare metal, primed using upol acid 8, seam sealed it and then went over with a single pac primer, then i went to stone chip it with tetrosyl white stone chip............ i think you know the rest as ive read its very aggresive it just went cracked and lifted all that was under it seam sealer and all.
now my question is........is there anything that i can put between the primer and the stone chip to stop it reacting, lifting and cracking? ive heard of bar coat, would this do the trick? or is there some sort of sealer that can be sprayed on to form a barrrier? any advice is welcome
