SorryMod edit: no swearing on the forum!.
Is that better?gits.
I hope you called the police anyway. When I used to live with the parents, and while still at school, our sheds were done over and a large quantity of fishing equipments and cycles were nicked by the local scum. Some of the kit was found dumped in a field just up the road as they discovered names on the rods, other stuff we kept an eye out for and found it at Hemswell Market one weekend.
The seller was adamant he'd bought it legit off some bloke, until my Dad point out that there was a splash of off white gloss in the back of the big sea fishing reel he'd got on display in the back of his van, didn't want to give it up until he was threatened with the local Police turning up after my Mum had then spotted 2 cycles on the next stall operated by this bloke Mrs, that were nicked out of the same shed.
Don't waste time with a security light, many people don't bother checking when their neighbours light comes on because its "usually a cat". Alarms are the same really, neighbours couldn't give a flying if there's one going off, if its not theirs of course.
There are security measures out there that do work though. Smoke Cloaks, Shotgun Blanks, Mega Blasters.
A cheap CCTV camera inside the shed/workshop/garage/unit is also a good idea, Police won't do a lot if you only catch them outside your premises. If you can prove they've entered the place, its breaking and entering at a minimum.
