I have acquired a heap of steel from an online auction, some of it is marked with writing in paint pen, and some has painted ends, some has both, and some has no markings.
I've read that the colour codings can be non standardised so is there any way I can identify these materials? The ones with paint pen writing is EN24 which has Red/Green ends, 070M20 which I believe is EN3B, cast iron which has Red/Green ends. There is then some seriously hefty pipe, almost an inch wall thickness on the stainless piece.
I want to keep some for myself but to pass it on to others it would be handy to know what it is.
