I think maybe this place will be a good stockist, although i have never used it personally, as i hear they can be rather snobbish about small buyers unless they know exactly what they are after. Otherwise they are apparently very good, if you know the size you want and the type of metal, etc.

if you are near wrexham,go to fwb,im up there all the time
it does help that my mates dad works there,but the prices are good,and everything is in stock,if not it will be next day

i havent had ANY trouble with them in about 10yrs

I went to this place, and from what happened on that visit i think i can recommend it:
H Harvey and Sons Ltd, Dundas Street, Queensferry, Deeside, Clwyd, CH5 1SZ

As recomended by forum poster 'I am the eggman'
I bought a 6mm 75x75mm angle iron, 2 meters long it weighed approx 15 Kilos and they charged me a very reasonable £10. (the last ripoff's wanted nigh on 60 squid!) The guy was helpful, and even though the boss wasnt there he phoned him for me to get a price. Also he took me to the back of the workshop to go through the sheet metal cut offs. A friendly, well priced place to go.

It's right near the leisure centre. Go over the Blue bridge (if coming from chester/Blacon) and its a turn off on left hand side of the road before you get to the Kentucky fried place.
