steel inner tubing??

where can I get tubing's that goes inside of another.
to join 2 tubing together but can be taken apart.
got told intertube specialize in small tubing's,but I cannot find them.
as some of you know I make motorcycle racks etc.
some rack's are to big and I need to make them smaller by doing the above.

Would round bar be too heavy? Might be easier to source as a lot of smaller tubes don't fit well into the next size up, also the have that burr/ridge on the inside.

hydraulic tube is sized both id and od, its wall thickness is usually a set thickness 1.5 2 2.5 3 etc so normally fit exactly.

You mentioned small tubing. Not sure how small you meant, but Coopers Needle Works make stainless tubing in sizes quite a few of which are sliding fits, or tighter. Their main market is medical stuff, hypodermic needles and the like, so probably not cheap, but there might be something of use there. Standard sizes go up to 6mm o.d. Metric range up to 20mm o.d.

thanks for the replies.
what I'm trying to achieve is to make my product look professional and not some DIY etc.
to make it clear in what I make is motorcycle racks,chromed I have no problem but powder coat yes because the tubing is mild steel it will rust..
I need a tubing that is about 2" to 3" long and none rusting ,s/steel is a bit expensive.
I got told that a company specialize in tube insert for this purpose and plated.
so it would be a matter of inserting the tube and spot weld to one half and just slide into the other.because it is at an angle there's no need for bolts etc.
its a simple method of putting one half of the rail onto the bike and the top half on , the the other half onto the top rail and swing round and fit to the bike without having to remove the hand rail altogether.
this is by the way for the Honda NC700 x ,s models.
for a fixed rack you have to remove the hand rail and refit once the rack is on.
so I'm just trying to make it easier to fit as well as compact to post.
