I’ve been asked to make a steel framed table and stools which will have hardwood tops as they are for outside use.
I have no issues regarding the welding side of things, however I’m still not up to speed with the thickness or dimensions of the steel.
I’ve been asked to use square tube, and was thinking of using 40mm x 3mm for the table frame and 30mm x 2.5mm for the stool frames
Am I way of the mark and is there a way of working out steel specs for different uses (not structural obviously
) ?
TIA for any advice
