Steel cutting blade on to a clarke mitre saw-possible or not?

I have a Clarke 10” mitre saw 1400w , 3900 RPM motor. I bought it second hand about 2 years ago. Although I don’t use it much, I find that it is a good time saver when I do have a need to cut wood nice and square. One straight line with the “square” is all I need and the blade is through literally in seconds

Safety being paramount, does anyone here know if I can obtain a steel cutting blade that I can fit. At the moment I am likely to be doing much more steel cutting than wood cutting. The obvious thing to do is maybe invest in something like an “Evolution rage” saw. I did phone Machine Mart, but as helpful and pleasant as the guy was in the Barnsley store, he was unaware if such a blade exists for my purpose.

I wouldn't chance it myself the motor power is different as well as the rpm, the 10" rage is 2000w and 2500rpm

Right, i can see there is quite a difference there, and different for a reason. A more powerful motor and a slower speed.

Faster speed. I know someone who cut mild steel on his wood cutting radial arm saw with a 9" or 230mm angle grinder cutting disc, it did the job although slow, only prob,the sparks set his bench on fire.

A cold cut saw is the safe bet. Slow rpm, Comes with a proper cutting disk and will come with a cutting fluid pump. Alot of money though!
