Evening all,
I’m trying to work out the loadings for a steel beam.
I need to run a 6m beam down the centre of my garage. One end will be supported by block work, the other will be bolted to a second RSJ with a span of 3m supported by block work at either end.
The long RSJ will have a hoist running on a beam trolly. Max load will be 750kg.
I’m not sure how to calculate the size of both beams. Is there a tool or something I can use to work it out?
Thanks!
