Steam Tank welding

Hi everyone!
I have a Coffee machine in my workshop 1 of those projects that seem easy at the start!
Anyway 1 of the tanks that produces the steam to froth the milk etc has developed a leak around the prongs of the element, the element is braised into the stainless steel tank with just the terminals exposed,

My question is, how is the best way of repairing said tank and making sure the weld will hold the pressure??

Hope thats clear-ish I could try and post some pics if that would help matters!

As long as it's not a safety issue, Can you not re-braze. Most likely failed because the tank will be quite thin and will flex every time it's pressured up.

Shamefuly I have no idea how to go about re-brazing hence my question!

Id appreciate an idiots guide, or a push in the right direction of someone close to Wigan that could do it!

I'm pretty sure these are silver soldered, not brazed, repairing them can be quite tricky because of the problems of dirt / coffee / milk and general crud in the joint, I've done similar repairs, sometimes they work, sometimes they are not successful.

Spend an hour cleaning, then get it silver soldered: 1 min.
Cleanliness is the key.

'Just for making coffee' I'm afraid still makes it a pressure vessel and should be repaired competantly. I know the larger Gaggia type machines are subject to insurance inspection under pressure vessel regulations. Not suggesting your machine would be, but failure of even small steam vessels can cause serious damage/injury. W/A

I realise that, Im not sure where I said "just for making coffee" but still thankyou for taking the time to answer!
