Steam hose clamps?

I've had to redo my compressors so the tank is remote. Someone on here recommended I use steam hose to connect the pump to the tank, so I got that. Now how to clamp the hose to the hose tails.

There's these things. Does anyone have any experience of them? This one does 27 - 30mm outer diameter hoses. Just a bit worried whether it won't let air leak round the sides, aren't these clamps just squishing the top and bottom of the hose? What about the sides?

These ones look more promising as they seem to create a proper circle around the hose.

General jubilee clamps aren't holding.

Are the hosetails your using barbed? If you using plain pipe and just pushing hose over it then its going to slip off no matter what clamp you use.

I'd use O clamps:

Ignore the pincers, just use normal pincers.

Yes barbed.

Found that Bearing shop have the clamps for £4 each so at that price decided to just buy and try. Most other places I found before were £10 each by the time you add vat and delivery, so £40 to get the four I need, was a bit much to risk them not working.

We used to use the top ones for repairing damage to our pressure washer hose, but I think that they had a serrated insert to push into the hose so that they had something to clamp against. Did the job .
