Hero chaps has anyone any info on Steadfast woodworking machines ,am considering buying a 6 inch planer

a note here you will probably get more use out of a 10" than a 6"

when I sold my 20" Wadkin the diff in ease of job was amazing....plus u have extra width of blade to use after one side goes blunt.....

Thank you for your replies , I sold my large planer and separate thicknesser , down sizing on projects , I purchased the Steadfast planer today , it is a well built machine from substantial aluminium castings and steel , unusual in that there is no height adjustment for setting the blades , the blade locking wedges are in 3 sections , I have sorted out how to set the height accurately, wind in feed table right back , insert blade in front of locking wedges, place large magnet on table to pick up blade, adjustment of protrusion made by raising outfeed table , when set clamp up, repeat without moving outeed for other knife, simple
