I have a static converter that works my simple 3phase machines fine. It's got switching options on the front that lets me start/run different motor sizes.
I'm under the impression that a rotary converter operates quite similarly to a static one but I'm not sure about that.
The other day, I ran two motors at the same time and, in particular the lathe motor was much quieter.
So, my thinking was, is it possible and is it worth, adding an idler motor to the static one?
Cheers...
