Hi all
I haven't welded in a good 10 years or so and i'm slowly getting back into to restore a car. After some advice on my welds below.
Im using CO2/Argon mix set it to around 7-8 lpm with a pea shooter gauge.
Mig welder is an old clarke 90en i'm on the minimum settings for the machine and wire speed is around 5ish. Running 0.6 wire aswell.
Using 0.8 metal to practice on
This is the front

This is the back of the welds

I don't have a picture but one thing i'm finding with stitch welding bits of metal together when i go to close the gap up with the between to spots the final weld doesn't penetrate. Would it be better to grind the welds down before doing the last bits?
Thanks
