Starting to try mig-welding

Hey folks, this is my second day trying mig welding, managed to get 2 hours garage time today

Not sure if I'm on the right track here, I'm using 0.8mm wire with gas, 3mm steel. Here was my last and probably best bit of the day.....

I used a slow weave up and down trying to make sure concentrate most heat in the middle, would love to know you guys thoughts on this of how I may get this a bit better please

Looks like you're heading in the right direction, the welds look o.k. As the good folk here advised when I started welding thicker stuff, you could try doing a cut and etch to check penetration and even something as a simple break test by whacking it with a hammer

I'm good at that one!

Plus I have a large press and I try to bend things until they break, which to be honest, most don't, even though some of my welds don't look too pretty.
