Started My Evening course on 09/02/11 And all i can say is i'm hooked.
Arrived at my course only to find only three people had enrolled(thought it would be full). The young lad who had his course paid for by the DSS didn't bother to turn up so for the last two weeks My fellow student and i have had almost one to one tution with our teacher. After a safety talk we got cracking.
We were using R tech welders which were great as they showed the voltage and amperage we were using at any given time and the four roller wire feed made every thing really smooth. The gas was a Argon co2 Mix.
For the the first week we just laid down bead after bead on 3mm mild steel, so we could discover how to set the Machine for power and wire speed.
Thought i'd show off a few my beads and see what you guys think. :-)
This first one was altering power and wire speed to try and get the correct settings!
