ive had both of my children on secondary floor on scaffold looking at the roof area

being a single parent and visiting someone

I just took them both up there 3 and 5 year olds both was looked after by one adult each even im not that silly and another 2 adults on the scaffloding had access via the internal steps then stood on scaffolding

but that chimney climb no way

at least his dads behind him .I was working on my house and couldn't find the daughter ran round frantic and happened to look up the ladder and she was 20 foot up it started to climb up to get her down and she just laughed and climbed higher managed to get her just before chimney height and brought her down safely she is now 28 yrs old and climbs 90 meter towers every day at work offshore on the wind turbines climbing and heights must be in our blood as I don't mind it .climbed a pylon when I was 14 for a bet err I mean a dare

There was scaffolding up on my dad's place in about 1980. I would have been 8 at the time. I remember climbing up and swinging upside down on the top levels. That was before having fun was banned.

Though I did fall out of a tree a couple of years later.

Years back, looking out of my lounge window one evening, Spotted the young girl from over the road, she must have been about nine or ten, Running and dancing about on her pitched roof, from one end to the other of the pair of semi's , Went across to tell her parents, Seems she had climbed out of a dormer window on the other side of the house, I don't think they even thanked me for the warning,

Very wise not to let the kids do the chimney climb on the scaffold, It is much safer to send them up the chimney from the fireplace and they can sweep it as they go then

but how old was she then ? as you dont say

im not being cheeky as mines got the mouthy part with her until she annoys me then i kinda put her in her place

we are at fall out at the moment but being the single parent mums not on scene ive got to bite the bullet and contact her or visa versa to break the ice as theres no inbetween people with us both

I got curious and checked out to see if young Ian Dawson went on to become a steeplejack, he did and is currently the boss. His father who is taking him up the chimney in the video had a fall which he survived and is still going strong today.

No it's not Dibnah this one. Although as a teenager he climbed up Barrow Bridge chimney for a bet and flew a flag off it. (Barrow bridge chimney in Bolton is a monster).
