Where is the centrifugal switch,don't know to much about compressors

The centrifugal switch is located at the **** end of the motor, opposite the pulley, you have to take off the end plate off to get at it.

Why have you opted to replace your three phase motor with a 110v single as opposed to a 220v one.

Simply cost. I originally wanted a 3 Phase converter but couldn't find one secondhand. Cheapest 220v single phase motor was around £120 but came across the 110v brand new for £30 delivered so snapped it up. I've already got 110v tools and 3.3kwa transformer so suited my budget - virtually nil
