I want to weld 2" thinwall stainless tubing to 3/16 inch stainless plate flanges. (I am building a hardtop frame for a boat)
An expert welder recommended that I would be probably get better off getting MIG than TIG since I am a NOOB. However after looking at the owners manual Lincoln 175HD welder I was suprised to see a very reduced thickness rating for stainless over mild steel.
Is this welder going to be too small?
