H hotrodder Member Messages 4,583 Apr 13, 2010 #2 Yes, the sulphur in 303 to aid machinability screws up weldability. More info here on 303 properties, not much on the welding side as it's not recommended... the sulphur makes it more prone to centreline cracking and it tends to undercut badly
