Stainless steel sheet prices

hi Does anyone know of any stockholder websites , im just looking for a rough price of 2 or 3 mm stainless sheet preferably 3m long , (or know of a rough price themselves ) no need for anything posh like brushed etc its only for cattle drinking troughs .

I recently bought a 2x1 sheet of 3mm with a 2b finish, 304 grade. £130 IIRC . I`m most likely about to be told I got ripped off, as usual.

Cheers guys , im a bit green when it comes to stainless sheet but what grade would be best /cheapest for my application bearing in mind that its for a cow shed ie covered in cow sh*t and only holds water.

304 i presume so what is 304L and i just need a smooth finish ,

If thats was delivered is probably about right for a one off sheet, especially if you're an occasional buyer, I paid £99, ex vat for a 2x1x3mm 304 2b last week,
Mickey D, 3m sheets are available, they will be 1.5m wide though, "L" refers to the carbon content (Low), for your application nothing to worry about, 2 B would be your cheapest finish.

It was part of an order, but that price was including vat and palleting (apparently it had to be)

thanks again guys , paul who is your supplier? parker steel dont deliver this far up ,do you know any decent suppliers w mids area i suppose .
i just want to make one up as a sample /prototype , its the tipping type wall mounted ,could be a nice littlle sideline if i can do them for a reason able price

We've use Richard Austen Alloys a lot this year. Both for big orders and small. Might be worth a buzz Mike.
as Paul says, you can get it in 3x1.5m as a standard sized sheet. Price..... somewhere around the £300 mark id imagine.

Finish, just ask whats cheapest. 2D might be slightly cheaper....although 2B looks a bit nicer!

I use ASC metals in Northampton, they also have branches in Peterborough, Lowestoft, and Wolverhampton, probably a bit out of your area though.
