Stainless grind and polish weld in one go

would putting a 110 plug on a 240 grinder lower the speed or just reduce the power??

only saying this because have a 240 kettle and radio with 110 plugs on for site and they both work fine, they just take longer to boil and are not as loud as they should be.

For a reduced speed 1ph 240v machine, hows about using a 1ph to 3 ph (but NOT 240 to 415) inverter, and wiring up 2 phases?

You can vary the frequency, and therefore the speed. And you can keep the power up, although you'd lose torque at lower speeds.

Any reason why it wouldn't work?

Oh yes, free sample through the post this morn. I notice recommended speed for a 115mm disc is 3000rpm or less. Might be batting around a bit faster on an un-fettled (or fettered) angle grinder!

Mine arrived too, but like everyone else havent tried it yet. Wondering if it would fit on a polishing type grinder/mop, speed should be about right.

Doubt it will move metal as someone stated need a high build then take it back with a fibre disc have managed as good a result using a flap disc and scotchbright mop on my Poly-PTX 300.

well Ive just been using mine in my normall 110v grinder and it seems to be ok.
Been using it for about an hour taking the paint of an old 47kg propane bottle
and its coming up very well
