SS Tig rods

Strange one......helping someone out with a project...

1mm 316 Tig rods, size/material probably not that relevant.

Only got Esab ones, they are stamped both ends.

Are all other brands stamped at both or just one end?

Cant say I have ever paid much attention

The ones we use are stamped on one end only, don't remember seeing any stamped on both ends.

Are they stamped with the same information on both ends?

Often stamped both ends these days..........just in case someone cuts it in half.

many firms stipulate both ends especially pipe shops

The bits he wants are a small portion of rod with part of the flat bit.

Doesn't want premium priced rods, as 75% of the rod would be wasted. I shall suggest he gives the supplier a ring.

I've some Babcock rods they are only stamped one end but then they are only 500mm long, and some only have a colour on the end of the rod
