Squeaking noise. Problems with welding?

Hello,

I recently bought myself a new gym equipment and there is a problem with the left handle. It is making loud squeaking noise every time I apply pressure to it. There are no bolts or screws near the handle. The handle has been welded to the frame. I wanted to return the frame with handle but the shop told me that it could take up to 8 weeks. So now I'm wondering is this squeaking noise something to be worried about or not? (handle to break off)

I also took the plastic cover off and discovered a potential welding issue. Could this be the cause?! (pictures down below)

1. What could cause welded handle to make squeaking noise like that?
2. Is the squeaking noise an indicator that the handle is about to break off anytime soon?
3. Is there a simple fix for this problem?

The weld hasn't penetrated properly
Send it back or get a welder in to fix it

simple job for a welder , but the paint will suffer . send the picture to the manufacturer and ask them to supply a new part , but it wont be long before the weld facing it breaks ,,,, beware .

thats defective, not fit for purpose and shouldnt have ever passed quality control...but in reality thats about the standard for a lot of gym equipment...a freind bought a few bits for himself, a bench press rack, preacher curl stand, and a cable machine and all of them had issues with welds that i ended up repairing over time
